On April 5, 2016 Charles R. Gockel was at the Albany Medical Center with his loving family by his side when he went to be with Jesus. Born in Roxbury, NY on April 10, 1941, Charles was the son of Mamie and (Charles) Raymond Gockel of Grand Gorge. He is survived by his wife Beverly, sons David Gockel and wife Teresa, Charles B Gockel and wife Tracy, and daughter Deborah Mcmullen and her husband Joseph, Grandchildren Danielle (Kyle) Greiner, Kali (Ben) Brockert, Nicole (Phil) Couse, Charlene Cross, Jacob, Gabrielle, Naomi, Abigail, Lydia, and Caleb Gockel and 7 great grandchildren. Also surviving is his mother, Mamie Gockel, brothers Hank and Karl Gockel and sister Anna Jones. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9 at the Prattsville Community Church with viewing from 9:30 a.m. until the service at 11:00. Committal service will be held at Fairlawn Cemetery following the service. Please join us for a covered dish at the church following the services.
